For this painting, and the others in this set, I wanted to explore painting with acrylic on paper, which is a medium I don’t often use. I often paint with a very limited color palette, but for these, I wanted to take that a step further and make them monochrome, exploring all versions of one color (plus black, white, and gray). This one in red combines burnt sienna, cadmium red, and alizarine.
