The low November sun peaks through the clouds over a field in Iceland with volcanic rock, a meltwater stream, and distant mountains. This oil on canvas painting was created with brush and palette knife with thick applications of paint and abstracted detail.
This painting was damaged by my over-enthusiastic 70-pound puppy who joyfully sat on top of a stack of Iceland-inspired paintings, damaging several with punctures from her claws. This painting is now a part of my permanent collection, and a reminder of the impermanence of all things.
