This painting, which was inspired by a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains along Skyline Drive in Virginia in 2018, was created in 2019 with the use of a palette knife that allowed texture and layering to be emphasized over detail and precision. It sits in a “floating” wood frame that is painted black and lightly distressed.
